The Pilates Method of Rehabilitation and Exercise Fitness maximises muscle strength and flexibility using safe, low-impact techniques, ideal for those requiring remedial therapy or with restricted access to ‘traditional’ exercise, e.g. the pregnant or elderly.
Pilates’ fundamentals derive from a thorough understanding of human anatomy, which the Practitioner applies to create a comprehensive exercise programme. This is tailored to the client to achieve a greater sense of physical balance and control. It is this holistic approach that sets the method apart from many other forms of exercise.
Our well-established exclusive studio in West London concentrates on individual tuition, training no more than three clients at any one time. Studio Director Sasha McLennan comes from a dance background with a degree from Brunel University and became a qualified Pilates Practitioner, gaining a distinction from the PILATESfoundation® in 1999, after rehabilitating a dance injury through intensive application of the Pilates Method. Sasha has a detailed and intuitive understanding of movement, evidenced by clients’ physical development. She is chairman of the PILATESfoundation® and leads fully endorses this organisation's aim to uphold the highest standards of teaching in the Pilates Method.
