‘Sasha is a highly experienced Pilates instructor who demonstrates amazing empathy and understanding when working with clients with injuries. She has a large number of regular clients who rely on her for pain relief and exercise guidance. For the last 5 years, I have worked with Sasha once, sometimes twice a week to try to minimise my back pain. She has helped me to cope with my condition, but more crucially, to understand how my body reacts and adapts to pain. Sasha has uncanny astuteness at detecting when the wrong muscles are covertly being recruited. No cheating allowed! She seems to be aware of minute shifts in posture and somehow manages to induce corrections in muscle recruitment through a combination of hands-on feedback, descriptive instruction and suggesting appropriate postural visualisations. She worked closely with me when I finally underwent surgery for a prolapsed lumbar disc 2 years ago, in the early rehabilitation when I was unable to lift anything, through to today where I am now essentially pain-free.

Not only is Sasha an excellent instructor, she takes an active interest all her clients' well-being and is always on-hand to offer guidance in acute emergencies. I rely on my weekly sessions with Sasha to help correct the misalignments, which stubbornly recur simply as a result of living a hectic mother-of-two-young-children kind of lifestyle.’ - Heidi
